Stone Ridge Christian educates the whole child – mind, body and soul. Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of disciplines that lead them to achieve their God-given potential. All activities are done through the lens of faith, bringing faith to life in real and meaningful ways. We encourage students to pursue their educational passions while growing stronger in their Christian faith. Inside the classroom, students work to deepen their understanding of subjects—and themselves. Outside the classroom, students immerse themselves in competitive athletics, enriching fine arts, other student activities, and camaraderie. They develop deep friendships with students, explore new concepts, and push past their limits.

We’re called to help students build character and life skills, not just a resume. But don’t take our word for it:
“My friend saw a bunch of football players (at a local fast food place) and recognized my grandson. She was so impressed that they took the time to pray over their food! Stone Ridge is building character that shows even when no one is looking!” – GRANDPARENT
My child loves it:
“Why do I like this school? My daughter joined Stone Ridge Christian in the middle of the year. In the beginning she was unhappy, but now she loves it! And I have peace and the confidence that she is in a very friendly, positive, and nurturing environment. She is surrounded by Christian people and studying the Bible every day, getting affirmed in her faith, and impact her life forever. Thank you for the awesome job you are doing!” – PARENT
Surrounded by Christian people:
She is surrounded by Christian people and studying the Bible every day, getting affirmed in her faith, and impact her life forever. Thank you for the awesome job you are doing!” – PARENT
They are family:
“They love and even tough love our kids. They are family.” – PARENT
Geniune loving kindness:
On our way home that night, my 16 year old told me a story about a [SRC] boy at the game that was just so good with a younger boy at the game. She just went on and on about how amazed she was at how kind he was. So…just wanted to share with you how impressed we were by such genuine loving kindness.” -PARENT FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL
“I work with a couple of gentleman who. . . came to my office to tell me how impressed they were with Stone Ridge players, staff, fans and parents. They stated that all too often they are witnesses to Christian schools and families who don’t seem to have a Christ-like attitude, however at this game Stone Ridge players, family, staff, and fans were representing their beliefs perfectly. They wanted me to pass this on to the all who are a part of such an amazing school.” -2004 ALUMNI PARENT WROTE IN 2014
Welcome to Stone Ridge Christian. As you explore this website, or choose to visit in person, you will find that Stone Ridge Christian (SRC) is a place of community – we learn and work together; we value each other; we encourage one another. Simply put, we do life together. For more than 15 years, SRC has provided quality Christian education to students from the greater Merced area. We value excellence not only in the classroom, but in all areas of student life. We attempt to do everything through the Christian lens of values and beliefs. We aim to develop each student to the highest potential of their God-given abilities.
This year’s school theme, “Under Construction” provides many layers of meaning and applications. We will be literally building a new and permanent campus this year! God has blessed us with 53 acres and a vision towards His Kingdom for the new and far future. As in all building projects the plans and foundation are critically important. The plans and foundation for Stone Ridge Christian, as well as our personal lives, are based on God’s Word, the Bible. Jesus Christ is our Architect, Engineer, General Contractor and Supplier of all resources. We look forward to this endeavor of a new physical building and campus, but especially in helping build and educated young lives spiritually, mentally, physically and socially with the partnership of the Home, Church and School.
So grab a hammer, or more likely a computer or pen and paper, as we begin the construction of building something greater!
– Randall Postmus, Principal

Students will be equipped academically, spiritually, physically and socially to impact their community and the world for God.
Christian – all activities are experienced through the lens of Christian faith; guide students to understand that God is at the center of every pursuit of knowledge.
Excellent – pursue excellence in all areas.
Community – become a community and be involved in our community.
Generational – a lasting school that has generations of students and supporters.
Statement of Faith
The basis of Stone Ridge Christian High School is the Word of God as interpreted by the following statement of faith. We believe….
God the Father – That God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1,2; Matthew 28:19; John 1:3)
God the Son – That Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and possesses all the attributes of deity. (Matthew 1:22,23; John 1:1; John 10:30-33)
God the Holy Spirit – That the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and is a divine person possessing all of the attributes of God. (John 14:16,17; Acts 5:3,4)
The Bible – That the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20, 21)
Man – That man was made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. Man’s sin has separated him from God. (Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23)
Salvation – That salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness. (Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:1-6)
Eternal Destiny – That man was created to exist forever. We either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. (Revelation 20:15; John 14 1-6)
Marriage – The family is ordained by God, and the religious covenant of marriage between one man and one woman as created by God, provides the foundation and definition for the family.
